Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry and maintenance at a Laurelwood Retirement Living community. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident comfort while managing budgets and regulatory requirements.

You will supervise staff, coordinate programs, and partner with the General Manager to uphold the organization’s commitment to dignity and quality of life for Canada's seniors.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution with relevant background in environmental services.
• Two years of supervisory or management experience in housekeeping, laundry, or maintenance.
• Success in budget management and resource planning.
• Ability to read and interpret building prints/drawings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the environmental services of the retirement home (housekeeping, laundry, maintenance).
• Plan, direct and monitor activities to ensure cleanliness, safety and functionality.
• Hire, onboard, train, supervise and coach staff to Aspira standards.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure adequate resources and equipment.
• Maintain building and equipment in a clean, safe condition and oversee grounds and waste management.
• Support fire safety, quality assurance and routine maintenance programs.
