Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • Professional Engineer, Geologist, or Agrologist registered in AB preferred.
  • 10+ years of consulting and/or industry experience is ideal.

Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Supervisor, to support our Canadian Remediation. We are looking for a team leader who is technically proficient, experienced in consulting, enthusiastic. Our ideal candidate has the people skills to grow and mentor staff, is technically savvy in remediation as well as experienced to support staff and clients.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Staff Supervision:Develop tasks, establish and maintain goals and expectations, and document performance-related issues and achievements.
  • Professional Development: Oversee continuous professional development for staff, document employee performance issues, and participate in resolutions as appropriate.
  • Talent Development:Identify and develop talent within the team.
  • Collaboration: Maintain positive working relationships with peer leaders.
  • Goal Setting: Establish and maintain clear goals and expectations for the organization.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery, technical, and staff problems.
  • Mentorship:Mentor a team of environmental professionals to achieve their potential.
  • Client Management:Develop and manage client-facing relationships.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with staff, peer leaders, leadership, and other AECOM technical staff/project managers.
  • Safety Leadership: Exhibit personal safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work. Conduct site management visits.
Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

University education in Engineering preferably in Geology or Agrology with Six years of experience.

Preferred qualifications:

•Professional Engineer, Geologist or Agrologist registered in AB

•Prior experience managing teams in a consulting environment.

•Ideally 10+ years of consulting and/or industry experience

•Ability to make strategic decisions to keep projects moving forward.

•Experience proactively identifying and resolving issues as they arise.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

•Demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multidiscipline teams

•Can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
