Job Summary

Under supervision, the Environmental Protection Specialist II administers and implements Environmental Protection programs in multiple districts. Acts as district EP contact, providing technical guidance and monitoring compliance in Alberta and Manitoba districts.

Location

7940 25th Street NW, Edmonton, AB T6P 1M9. This is a hybrid role, with office days Monday through Thursday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit environmental reports; maintain EP data systems.
• Implement corporate EP policies; serve as district contact for environmental issues.
• Monitor site operations for compliance; investigate regulatory findings.
• Secure environmental permits and prepare related documentation.
• Oversee district EP testing, investigations, and reporting.
• Administer customer waste disposal approvals as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 4 years relevant work experience. At least 2 years of environmental protection experience.

Knowledge of environmental regulations, MS Office, statistical methods, and management systems like ISO 14001.

Work Environment

Includes office and landfill sites, with physical activities such as handling objects under 30 pounds, exposure to environmental elements, and occasional risks.
