Environmental Project Manager Position

Partner staffing is seeking an experienced and dynamic Environmental Project Manager on behalf of our client to lead and execute environmental projects in the Vancouver region. The successful candidate will manage projects focused on environmental assessments, regulatory compliance, remediation, and sustainability initiatives. This role requires excellent project management skills, technical expertise, and a passion for environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of environmental projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
2. Oversee and conduct environmental impact assessments, site investigations, and risk assessments.
3. Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and compliance.
4. Ensure all projects comply with federal, provincial, and municipal environmental regulations and standards.
5. Prepare detailed project reports, technical documents, and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.
6. Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
7. Identify and implement sustainable solutions to reduce the environmental footprint of projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
2. 5+ years of experience managing environmental projects, preferably in Western Canada.
3. Strong understanding of federal and provincial environmental regulations (e.g., BC Environmental Management Act).
4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
7. Professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., RP.Bio., P.Ag., P.Geo., or PMP) is an asset.
8. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to lead and motivate teams.
10. Strong analytical and technical report-writing skills.
