Job summary

Compass Geomatics Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead projects from inception to completion. You will track jobs, manage workflows, and review regulatory submissions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience managing environmental projects, and familiarity with Western Canadian regulations. Travel to project sites may be required, and the team emphasizes client-focused, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, PM, or related field.
• Proven experience managing environmental projects, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to track multiple deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail in technical/regulatory documents.
• Familiarity with Alberta/Western Canadian environmental regulations.
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental projects from inception to completion within scope, on time, and on budget.
• Implement and maintain systems for tracking progress, milestones, and deliverables for stakeholders.
• Review environmental reports, permits, and regulatory submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as primary client contact, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction.
• Coordinate with field staff, subcontractors, and technical experts for smooth execution.
• Maintain organized project files and QA/QC documentation.
• Identify risks and schedule pressures; propose mitigation strategies.
