Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Planner for our Prairies and Territories Assessment and Permitting Team based in the Edmonton office. You will lead environmental assessments and permitting activities for transmission and distribution projects, collaborating with biology, physical sciences, human environment, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in sciences, environmental studies or engineering and at least 6 years of regulatory experience in

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work with initiative, professionalism and confidentiality in a dynamic environment.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including biology, physical sciences and engineering.
• Experience with provincial (AB) and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Experience in energy sector projects (upstream/midstream oil & gas, mining, power).

• Prepare and review environmental evaluations and regulatory applications.
• Support permitting and approval processes across project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with colleagues on pursuits and project delivery.
