PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) seeks an Environmental Inspector to ensure construction activities comply with environmental regulations and EMPs. You will document risks, inspect sites, and support audits across a major airport program in Canada.
Ideal candidates have a degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, 3–5+ years in environmental inspection, and knowledge of MECP standards. The role requires collaboration with managers, engineers, and consultants on site.
PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
The Environmental Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities within the PACT program comply with applicable environmental regulations, project-specific environmental management plans, and industry best practices. This role plays a critical part in supporting sustainable construction practices while minimizing environmental impacts across project sites.
Your work schedule will be during site hours. Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as required by the construction schedule, is expected. Any schedule changes or on-call requirements will be managed in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation. It is mandatory for all employees to complete a Criminal Background check and successfully attain a Restricted Access Identity Card (RAIC) upon joining the company.
