Job summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to provide in-field coaching and support for safety programs across projects in Eastern Ontario. The role reports to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety and emphasizes strong safety culture and teamwork.

The successful candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in safety compliance, CPRSP or Gold Seal certifications, and a degree or diploma in OH&S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in OH&S or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in safety compliance, investigation, and program development.
• CRSP or Gold Seal certifications.
• Proficiency in safety software, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-field coaching to operations personnel to drive safe behavior.
• Assist sites with safety improvement plans and action items.
• Support implementation of Health and Safety Management System programs.
• Coach site personnel on hazard recognition, risk assessment, and controls.
• Develop safe work processes for industrial and construction projects.
• Assist with incident investigations and timely reporting.
