Employee Benefit Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead иthe site safety program on a major construction project in Napanee, Ontario, onsite from start to finish. The role requires overseeing regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and safety training across multiple trades.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in construction safety, a strong OHSA background, and a valid Working at Heights certification. CRSP/CHSO/NCSO is an asset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive health and safety experience on building construction projects.
• Advanced working knowledge of OHSA and Construction Projects Regulation (O. Reg. 213/91).
• Strong incident investigation and hazard analysis experience.
• Experience with safety reporting systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, implement, and improve the site Health & Safety Program for a large construction project.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, regulations, owner standards and company policies.
• Conduct site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and field audits.
• Act as primary on-site contact for safety matters, including regulators and client reps.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses with corrective actions.
• Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and targeted training for hazards.
• Mentor junior safety staff, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Review safe work procedures, lift plans, permits and risk assessments.
• Coordinate emergency response planning and drills; maintain records.
