Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) invites applications for an Environmental Cleaning Services Aide at Seven Oaks General Hospital in Winnipeg. Under the supervision of the Director of Materiel Services, you will perform cleaning, restock supplies, waste removal and recycling to maintain a sanitary and orderly facility.

Qualifications include Grade 10 education and a recognized housekeeping course; detail orientation and good interpersonal communication.

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Materiel Services and within the Vision, Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Seven Oaks General Hospital, the Environmental Cleaning Services Aide is responsible for maintaining the facility in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. He/She performs all required cleaning functions, including restocking of supplies, waste removal, recycling, and other related duties.

Experience

• Previous environmental cleaning services experience in a health care setting preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Grade 10 education.
• Recognized Housekeeping Course (e.g., “Fundamental Housekeeping Methodology”) an asset.
