Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

We are seeking an experienced and strategic EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives across multiple industrial facilities. This is more than a compliance-driven position—it's a leadership role where you will shape the company's safety culture, ensure environmental responsibility, and help align EHS practices with broader organizational goals. Position Overview:

The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive environmental and safety programs. This role requires strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the ability to foster collaboration and accountability across departments. You will be the primary contact for regulatory agencies and the State Water Board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage environmental compliance and workplace safety programs across all company facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, including Cal/OSHA, EPA, and requirements related to RMP, SWPPP, SPCC, CUPA, and SCAQMD.
  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of EHS procedures, training, and documentation for programs such as IIPP, Process Safety Management, Respiratory Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Emergency Action Planning, and more.
  • Conduct routine audits and inspections to assess program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage events to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve environmental impact through waste reduction and sustainable practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to regulatory agencies, handling permitting, reporting, and inspections.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants to ensure successful implementation of EHS initiatives.
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to promote a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
  • Analyze trends in injuries, incidents, and safety performance to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience managing environmental and safety programs in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership experience.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and safety training.
  • Track record of success with Behavior-Based Safety programs and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • ASP or CSP certification preferred.
