Job summary

MDS Aero Support Corporation in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking an entry level Project Coordinator / Integrator to support the Project Manager and Systems Engineer, helping move projects from planning through to delivery.

The role emphasizes scheduling, budgeting, risk assessments, meetings coordination, vendor liaison, and site activities for construction and test systems, with 1–3 years of coop experience preferred and travel to international work sites possible.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in design/analysis and/or project management
• Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/college
• Experience in Gas Turbine testing industry is desirable
• Eligible for Professional Engineers Ontario membership

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing projects from planning through execution and delivery
• Assist in interpreting contract requirements and generating scopes of work for engineering
• Prepare, monitor, update and control detailed project schedules and budgets
• Prepare, monitor, update and control Risk Assessments
• Participate in internal and client coordination meetings, prepare minutes and action lists
• Interact with engineering departments to expedite drawings, deliverables and specifications
• Assist in preparing and reviewing technical documents and client communications
• Assist in vendor management for design-build activities including planning, tracking and coordinating shipping/fabrication/assembly
• Coordinate site activities with Site Manager for construction and commissioning
