We are seeking an intermediate Systems Installation Integration Engineer to independently execute defined engineering packages for aircraft development programs. In this role, you will focus on the physical routing, packaging, structural support design, and interface definition of mechanical aircraft systems—including equipment, ducting, piping, tubing, hoses, brackets, and supports (excluding electrical wiring). Working under established engineering practices, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready, fully compliant CAD designs from initial layout through drawing release.
Develop and review 3D CAD installation layouts, equipment placement options, routing, support brackets, and detail assembly drawings for mechanical aircraft systems.
Define physical interfaces, maintenance access envelopes, attachment provisions, and clearance zones for onboard non-electrical hardware.
Balance system functionality with zonal safety, maintainability, manufacturability, structural assembly sequence, weight, and target costs.
Coordinate physical design definitions across functional systems engineering, structures, stress, interiors, thermal, aerodynamics, safety, and manufacturing.
Identify and resolve spatial clashes, access limitations, installation sequence issues, and interface discrepancies within assigned aircraft zones.
Align technical definitions with suppliers, risk-sharing partners, and shop-floor operations teams.
Support formal design reviews, verification/validation tests, qualification tasks, and airworthiness certification activities.
Investigate and troubleshoot technical non-conformances arising during manufacturing, supplier production, ground/flight testing, or field service.
Execute engineering changes, perform technical impact assessments, and maintain accurate product data within the PLM environment.
Take end-to-end ownership of defined design assignments from initial concept through engineering release.
Conduct technical self-checks, run investigations using standard engineering methods, and recommend practical solutions.
Provide reliable milestone status updates, proactively flag technical risks, and support peer onboarding or less-experienced team members on routine tasks.
