West Fraser in Edson, Alberta, is seeking an entry level employee to join the Edson division. You will work in various roles from sorting and stacking lumber to operating equipment and assisting processing workers, with safety as a priority.

This role is ideal for someone with good physical condition, a positive team attitude, and a willingness to learn. No prior experience required, and you will receive comprehensive benefits and on-the-job training.

As an Entry Level Employee

• Work in a variety of areas which may include sorting, stacking, and piling lumber
• Handling and lifting materials
• Operate production equipment as assigned
• Assist other processing workers
• Assist with the routine maintenance and cleaning of the sawmill equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues to the team.
• Other general labourer responsibilities
• Repetitive tasks
• Strict adherence to company safety standards and follow Safe work practices such as Lock-out, Pre-task hazard assessments, etc.
• Standing for extended periods

You Have

• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment

• The hourly pay range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
