Job summary

NAIT seeks an Enterprise Data Systems Analyst to support the enterprise data warehouse, ETL processes, and reporting. You will translate business requirements into technical tasks and collaborate with internal clients to deliver data solutions.

This intermediate IT role requires knowledge of T-SQL, SSRS/SSIS, Power BI, data modeling, and data integration. You will work largely independently within NAIT policies and contribute to design, coding, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Related information technology diploma or certificate.
  • 2-5 years of related information technology experience.
  • Equivalencies may be considered.

Job Description

The Enterprise Data Systems Analyst is an intermediate-level IT position responsible for supporting the effective operation of technology resources. The role involves providing software and/or hardware development and support services to NAIT clients, handling moderately complex, non-routine issues using technical knowledge gained through education and experience. The position primarily interacts with internal clients to understand concerns, provide guidance, and explain solutions. Employees work largely independently within established policies and procedures, occasionally interpreting guidelines as needed. Performance is reviewed periodically based on accuracy, quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing support on creating innovative solutions including analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation. Specific tasks include the following:

  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and tasks.
  • Design, build, and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouse objects and ETL.
  • Support and build SSRS and PowerBI reports.
  • Prepare recommendations for business process improvements and create related design specifications; facilitate changes to the business process as management directs.
  • Implement software solutions by following NAIT’s policies and procedures and ITS’s development and documentation methodologies.
Skills & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of Transact-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with data modeling, data engineering, and ETL processes in Data Warehouse or Lakehouse development.
  • Proficient in data integration among different enterprise systems or data sources.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and time.
  • Ability to effectively track and document issues and their resolutions.
  • Problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to function in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Effectively responding to conflicting requirements and resource demands is a necessity.
  • Flexibility in hours and days are required to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Related information technology diploma or certificate.
  • 2-5 years of related information technology experience.
  • Equivalencies may be considered.
  • Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).

Remuneration

Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package. The compensation range for this job posting is : $78,885.85 - $104,506.92 NAIT is committed to a transparent, fair, and human-centered hiring experience.
