Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Enterprise Chief Architect, AWS Platform, to shape cloud strategy and de-risk major technology investments. You will mentor a 10–15 person team across Cloud, Network, and Security while driving enterprise standards and governance across multi-account AWS environments.

In this remote role, you will work with executive stakeholders, ARBs, and strategic partners to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, and Enterprise Architecture experience.
• 8+ years of AWS architecture, cloud transformation, and technical leadership experience.
• Proven experience at Principal/Lead/Chief Architect or equivalent senior role.
• Experience leading teams of 10+ Architects in global delivery.
• Strong executive presence with C-level stakeholders and ARBs.
• Deep expertise across AWS Networking, Security, Infrastructure, Automation, and Governance.
• Hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale AWS networking architectures (Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, PrivateLink, BGP).
• Experience Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK.
• Experience establishing cloud governance, security guardrails, and operating models.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority for AWS Infrastructure Delivery and Cloud Transformation initiatives.
• Advise executives and ARBs on cloud strategy, security, governance, and investments.
• Lead and develop a 10–15 person team of Cloud, Network, and Security Architects across global delivery.
• Establish enterprise architecture standards, governance, and reusable design patterns.
• Lead architecture reviews and guide implementation decisions with hands-on involvement.
• Architect multi-account, multi-region AWS environments with AWS Organizations and shared services.
• Design advanced AWS networking architectures (Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, VPC, Route 53, PrivateLink).
• Define secure hybrid-cloud connectivity using Direct Connect, VPN, and BGP routing.
• Drive cloud security governance, SCPs, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and compliance programs.
• Lead IaC adoption with Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK; govern deployments and automation.
• Foster platform engineering through GitLab CI/CD and lifecycle management.
