Job summary

Niagara Parks is seeking an Enterprise Application Analyst to lead and support our enterprise applications and SQL Server environment. You will manage security, integrations, and reporting for ticketing, payment processing, golf management, and related systems.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams, ensuring data integrity and uptime while contributing to upgrades, testing, and disaster recovery planning. A strong background in SSRS reporting and PCI‑DSS controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field; relevant certifications are assets.
• Minimum five (5) years supporting enterprise applications, databases, reporting platforms, and business-critical tech.
• Minimum three (3) years administering Microsoft SQL Server environments including maintenance, performance tuning, security, and DR planning.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting SSRS reports and reporting environments.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as ticketing, payment processing, golf management, retail, hospitality, attractions, and POS solutions; familiarity with Accesso, Moneris, Club Prophet, or similar is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of database design, data integrity, APIs, middleware, reporting platforms, and PCI-DSS requirements for payment environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical resource for Niagara Parks’ enterprise applications and related systems.
• Administer, monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise application environments for reliability, security, availability, and performance.
• Manage user access, permissions, security roles, configurations, and integrations with corporate systems.
• Coordinate installations, upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, and support for peripherals (receipts, payment terminals, scanners).
• Administer the Microsoft SQL Server environment, including backup, recovery, performance tuning, security, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, automated processes, integrations, and SSRS reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with business units to deliver reporting and analytics while ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Support payment processing systems and PCI-DSS compliance activities (audits, controls, remediation, vendor coordination).
• Build relationships with stakeholders and vendors, acting as liaison for issues, upgrades, and implementation projects.
• Provide user training, documentation, and guidance; identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting capabilities.
• Participate in system implementations, testing, change management, and disaster recovery planning; contribute to business continuity.
• Provide after-hours and emergency support as required; support cross-training and continuity of critical systems.

What You’ll Do

The Enterprise Application Analyst is responsible for the administration, support, security, and continuous improvement of Niagara Parks’ enterprise applications and Microsoft SQL Server environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Technology, this role serves as the primary technical lead for several business-critical systems, including ticketing, payment processing, golf management, reporting platforms, and their associated integrations and hardware. The position ensures systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with operational and business needs while supporting upgrades, implementations, reporting initiatives, and ongoing enhancements.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and IT team members, the Enterprise Application Analyst manages database performance, backup and recovery processes, data integrity, application integrations, and support across development, testing, and production environments. The role also contributes to business continuity by providing technical support across retail, culinary, golf, ticketing, and payment operations, and serves as a backup resource for the Financial Technology Analyst as required.

The Enterprise Application Analyst will:

• Serve as the lead technical resource for Niagara Parks’ enterprise applications, including ticketing, golf management, payment processing, and other business-critical systems.
• Administer, monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise application environments to ensure system reliability, security, availability, and performance.
• Manage user access, permissions, security roles, system configurations, and application integrations with corporate systems and third-party solutions.
• Coordinate application and hardware installations, upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, and support for peripherals such as receipt printers, payment terminals, and ticket validation scanners.
• Act as the primary administrator for the Microsoft SQL Server environment, including database maintenance, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, automated processes, database integrations, and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with business units to deliver operational, financial, and analytical reporting while ensuring data integrity and system performance.
• Support payment processing systems and PCI‑DSS compliance activities, including audits, security controls, vulnerability remediation, documentation, and vendor coordination.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers, acting as a liaison for issue resolution, upgrades, maintenance, and implementation projects.
• Provide user training, technical guidance, documentation, and support while identifying opportunities to improve business processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in system implementations, testing, change management, seasonal operational readiness activities, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Provide after-hours and emergency support as required, while assisting with cross-training, knowledge sharing, and continuity of support for critical business systems across Niagara Parks.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; relevant Microsoft SQL Server, database, reporting, analytics, or enterprise application certifications are considered an asset.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience supporting enterprise applications, databases, reporting platforms, and business‑critical technology systems, including customer‑facing and transaction‑based environments.
• Minimum three (3) years of hands‑on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments, including database maintenance, performance tuning, monitoring, security, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and reporting environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise systems such as ticketing, payment processing, golf management, retail, hospitality, attractions, and Point of Sale (POS) solutions; experience with Accesso, Moneris, Club Prophet, or similar platforms is an asset.
• Strong understanding of database design, data integrity, application integrations, middleware, APIs, reporting platforms, and PCI‑DSS compliance requirements for payment processing environments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, enterprise infrastructure, and experience participating in system implementations, upgrades, testing, change management, and process improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization while managing multiple priorities, support requests, documentation requirements, vendor interactions, and operational deadlines in a business‑critical technology environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a business‑critical environment while providing exceptional technical support, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring operational continuity, uptime, and customer service excellence.
