This position reports to

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design equipment, systems, or installations, or modify pre-engineered designs for assignments by applying standard design concepts. Your daily tasks include assisting in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specifications. You will participate in design reviews, verification, and modify designs as necessary.

  • Support preparation of design assignments to meet contractual obligations, adhering to safety, cybersecurity, and quality standards.
  • Solder and perform light mechanical assembly.
  • Participate in product development and performance testing.
  • Ensure Bill of Materials for projects meets contractual requirements.
  • Support product documentation and instructions.
  • Assist in technical risk assessments and implement actions in projects.
  • Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
Qualifications for the role
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Electronics/Technologist.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering design tools.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally (up to 20%).
