Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Regina, Saskatchewan, is seeking an Engineering Team Lead - Tillage to join our team. This full-time permanent role oversees management, design, project planning, and estimating for the tillage platform, delivering high-quality projects to internal customers.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, mitigate design risks, and collaborate with support and business development to improve cost, quality, and features.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer or Technologist designation is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Extensive experience with design tools.
  • Proven track record in leading technical staff and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of tillage platform is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the engineering platform for tillage products.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As the business and technical head of the engineering platform, the Engineering Team Lead - Tillage will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects to our internal customers and serve as the technical expert for the tillage platform. The role involves developing, mentoring, and retaining a high-quality design staff, ensuring that our team is equipped with the skills and motivation to meet and exceed our objectives.

A key aspect of this position is to identify and mitigate technical and business risks related to the engineering design of our tillage products. The Platform Team Lead will also be responsible for developing design concepts and directions that will ensure the long‑term profitability of the platform. Collaboration with customer support to provide technical assistance for field issues is essential, as is working with business development leads to identify areas for improvement in cost, quality, and feature offerings. Field research and occasional business travel are required components of this role.
