Job summary

BC Hydro in Burnaby, BC is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to guide a group of technologists and inspectors delivering quality assurance across procurement, manufacturing, and fabrication. The role emphasizes technical leadership, stakeholder collaboration, safety, and capacity planning with hybrid work and the Edmonds office as base.

The position requires a P.Eng in good standing with EGBC and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, along with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university.
• P.Eng license in good standing with EGBC.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Safety-first, people-centric leadership style with strong time-management and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring and coaching; manage relationships within the Quality group.
• Collaborate with leadership to execute the Quality mandate.
• Manage relationships with across project delivery, suppliers, consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and practices.
• Provide safety leadership.
