Job summary

Universal Business Team is seeking a Stores Coordinator (Engineering Support) to join their busy operations team. You’ll support field engineers by preparing equipment each morning and maintaining an organised stores environment, ensuring readiness for installations and service visits.

The role is hands-on, physically active, and requires reliability, strong organisational skills, and good teamwork to keep goods flowing and inventory accurate daily.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, stores, or logistics experience.
• Practical, get stuck in attitude.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using basic computer systems.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work ahead.

Responsibilities

• Review upcoming jobs and prepare equipment in advance using internal systems.
• Assemble equipment ready for installations and service visits.
• Ensure engineers’ daily requirements are prepared ahead of time.
• Maintain sufficient pre-assembled stock for urgent or reactive jobs.
• Receive, check and process deliveries.
• Organise and store stock accurately within the warehouse.
• Monitor stock levels and highlight replenishment needs.
• Maintain tidy and clearly labelled stock locations.
• Assist with unloading and sorting returned or scrap equipment.
• Keep the warehouse and yard clean, organised, and safe.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling appropriately.
