Job description
POSITION GOAL

As a Process Control Specialist, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our organization. This position is responsible for leading and actively participating in Six Sigma Red X problem-solving events, ensuring that complex issues are addressed with data-driven solutions. You will collect and analyze performance data to identify root causes, develop and implement corrective actions, and establish monitoring methods to sustain improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Leads and participates in statistical problem-solving activities using the DMAIC methodology working closely with process owners and participants of the submitted problem report.
  • Participates in and supports engineering process improvement projects.
  • Establishes, and implements accurate data collection plans for Six Sigma problem solving and process improvement events.
  • Actively participates in the collection of accurate data for use on Six Sigma problem solving and process improvement events.
  • Processes and analyzes collected data using statistical analysis software.
  • Develops, tests, and implements solutions for Six Sigma problem solving and process improvements.
  • Performs design changes when required as part of the problem solution and puts in place mitigation plan for all similar required design changes.
  • Establishes and supports others in the implementation of monitoring systems and better Process Control following the completion of process improvement events.
  • Supports the creation and management of Engineering process and training documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in statistical analysis.
  • Registered Technologist/Engineer designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of design-related experience.
  • Knowledge of design principles relevant to essential job functions.
  • Statistical analysis certification (minimum Yellow Belt).
  • Experience in production, process improvement, and design optimization.
  • Proficiency with Unigraphics NX.
  • Skilled in statistical analysis software.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Strong Unigraphics NX skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
