Job summary

Sycle, a cloud-based audiology practice management platform powering 20,000+ users, seeks an Engineering Manager for the Digital Clinic team. This role combines people leadership, delivery, and hands-on technical contribution as you partner with Product Management and cross-functional teams to ship high-quality software.

You will coach engineers, translate product roadmaps into technical milestones, remove blockers, and drive continuous improvement with modern AI-assisted practices.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering leadership within a Healthcare SaaS or related regulated industry environment.
• Experience mentoring or managing software engineers while staying technically engaged.
• Strong collaboration with Product Management, Design, and QA partners.
• Solid background in system design, database schemas (PostgreSQL), code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Experience with modern architectures (microservices, monoliths, modular monoliths) and tech stacks including TypeScript, Node.js (NestJS), PHP, Next.js, AWS, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop the Engineering Team: manage, coach, and develop engineers with 1:1s and career growth support.
• Support Delivery & Strategic Alignment: translate roadmaps into technical milestones; remove blockers and balance features with technical debt.
• Contribute Technically: engage in architecture, code reviews, and complex problem solving, guiding decisions without bottlenecking delivery.
• Improve Software Delivery: drive automation, testing, and AI-assisted development practices with governance and human-in-the-loop reviews.
