Job summary

Promac Manufacturing is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the end-to-end engineering function for the sawmill and equipment divisions. The role serves as the Responsible Registrant and Engineer of Record, ensuring technical integrity and EGBC compliance.

You will oversee Design for Manufacturing, cost estimation, project management, and engineering data governance, while mentoring staff and driving Lean initiatives to cut costs and improve throughput.

Qualifications

• P.Eng. registration with EGBC; compliance with professional standards.
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary engineering function in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to sign off as Engineer of Record where required.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery, quality, and timeliness of all engineering outputs.
• Oversee major projects and manage manufacturing handoffs.
• Maintain engineering data standards and ERP data accuracy.
• Lead Lean initiatives to reduce costs and drive efficiency.
• Ensure engineering records are complete and audit-ready.
