Job summary

RIC Power Corp. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficient, high-quality production. You will partner with production, quality, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions.

The role emphasizes process design, prototyping, validation, time studies, and capacity planning, with a focus on lean manufacturing and cost reduction across metal-enclosed and arc-resistant switchgear production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical engineering or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably switchgear/electrical/industrial equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies.
  • Experience with process design, workflow optimization, and production planning; CAD and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with product design and engineering teams for new product introductions, including process design, prototyping, and validation.
  • Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and capacity planning to optimize production lines.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and provide technical support to production teams.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Implement Lean and CI initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and safety compliance.
  • Support automation initiatives and evaluate new manufacturing technologies for feasibility and ROI.
  • Monitor production metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.
