Job summary

Aecon is seeking a COE Welding Engineer to support welding initiatives within their Nuclear Centre of Excellence. About Us

Position: COE Welding Engineer

This role supports welding initiatives within the Aecon Nuclear Centre of Excellence (COE), focusing on developing, supporting, and innovating welding processes, especially GTAW orbital welding for reactor piping, and maintaining high-quality standards in nuclear industry projects.

Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing technical aspects of welding projects
  • Supporting process implementation and qualification for welding codes
  • Developing technical documentation and supporting welding training and research
  • Engaging with vendors and managing budgets
  • Making technical presentations and coordinating testing activities
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering or related field, with experience in welding and manufacturing
  • Experience with ASME, CWB, AWS welding codes
  • Proficiency in welding processes, CAD software, and project management tools
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and innovate in welding technology
