Job summary

Robinson Consultants Inc. is seeking an Engineer in Training to join our Ottawa/Vaughan/Hamilton offices. You will work under licensed engineers on a variety of municipal infrastructure projects including watermain, sewers, and transportation design.

You will assist with design tasks, preparation of reports and drawings, and construction administration. A Civil Engineering degree and EIT/PE eligibility plus strong communication are required, with a hybrid work option and field exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and eligible for P.Eng. in Ontario.
• Strong communication skills with clients and team members.
• Familiar with civil design and municipal infrastructure principles.
• Experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, AutoCAD or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering staff with municipal/transportation design tasks (watermain, sewers, roads).
• Prepare proposals, reports, drawings, and contract documents.
• Support construction administration and site inspections.
• Coordinate with administrative and technical staff.
• Assist with budgets, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Demonstrate professional judgment in project work.
