Job summary

Sofina Foods Inc in Port Coquitlam, BC, is seeking an Engineer 4th Class/Millwright (POCO) to operate a high-pressure boiler and maintain all plant mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems. Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform daily pre-operational inspections and repairs.

Requirements include a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket, at least two years in a food processing plant, ability to read and communicate in English, and the use of power and manual tools.

Qualifications

• 4th Class Power Engineering ticket required.
• At least two years' experience performing repairs in a food processing plant.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Able to use power and manual tools.
• Having a Provincial Millwright Journeyman certificate or inter-provincial equivalent is an asset.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must provide documentation of eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Boiler operation of a high-pressure boiler.
• Maintain all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary.

What is the Job About?

• Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you would be responsible for boiler operation of a high-pressure boiler.
• You will be responsible for maintaining all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant.
• And performing daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary.

What You’ll Bring:

• You have a 4th Class Power Engineering ticket.
• You have at least two (2) years' experience of performing repairs in a food processing plant.
• You are knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• You are able to use power and manual tools.
