Job summary

Corus Entertainment Inc. in Toronto seeks an ENG Digital Technician to join Global News. You will shoot interviews, b-roll, and drone footage, and edit material for Crime Beat and other programming across markets and platforms.

You will collaborate with producers, ensure technical standards for camera and audio, manage equipment and contribute to packaging elements for promos and special reports.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education and/or experience in Journalism/Broadcasting or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with documentary style on location filming.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with non-linear editing tools: Grass Valley Edius, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro.

Responsibilities

• Shoot interviews, anchor links, b-roll and drone footage.
• Edit video and audio into Crime Beat episodes and other content for multiple platforms.
• Coordinate with producers on scripts and video/audio requirements.
• Oversee equipment bookings and on-location production needs.
