Job summary

County of Simcoe is seeking a Sustainable Operations Program Analyst to support energy and utilities management, analyze greenhouse gas and building data, and assist with equipment retrofits. The role involves reporting, stakeholder inquiries, and promoting sustainable operations across county facilities.

The position reports to the Sustainable Operations Program Supervisor in the Procurement, Fleet & Property Department.

Qualifications

Two-year post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Data Analyst, Building Environmental Systems, Energy Management).
CMVP designation is beneficial or in progress.
Basic understanding of building automation systems is advantageous.
Familiarity with utility invoices (electricity, gas) is beneficial.
Advanced spreadsheet management and data entry with speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Analyze utility data for patterns and anomalies; investigate meter errors.
Produce energy consumption reports for management and internal clients.
Assist with analysis and procurement of HVAC/lighting retrofits; report energy costs and carbon reductions.
Develop promotional, educational materials (literature, web pages, presentations).
Monitor building automation data; report anomalies and track savings over time.
