The role ensures compliant, safe and efficient energy use across facilities, under the supervision of Facilities Compliance and Asset Reliability.

The position emphasizes BAS programming, electronics understanding, and collaboration with a cross-functional team to improve reliability and performance in building systems.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma and post secondary HVAC and Building Automation Courses (equivalent to a two year trade certificate or two years college)
• Successful completion and certification as a Building Environmental Systems Operator, Level 1
• Previous exposure to HVAC, BAS programming and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Operate, program, and monitor Board Facilities Management Systems per policies and codes.
• Ensure safe and effective operation of energy management systems.
• Collaborate with interdepartmental teams and supervisors to optimize energy performance.
