Job summary

City of Mississauga is seeking a Senior Lead, Utilities & Energy Management to plan and lead a team in managing the Building Automation System (BAS) and renewable energy portfolio across City facilities. The role drives energy efficiency programs and manages the utilities budget in alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Professional Engineer with PEO.
• 7–10 years of progressive BAS, HVAC, commissioning and energy management experience.
• Expert knowledge of HVAC, DDC, BAS architecture and energy management.
• Experience with commissioning, recommissioning and building optimization.
• PMP and LEED designations preferred.
• Valid Ontario Driver's License with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Energy Management team in finding energy conservation opportunities to reduce energy and water consumption and utility spending.
• Lead portfolio-wide building optimization, recommissioning and continuous improvement using BAS and analytics tools.
• Integrate BAS, metering, submetering, solar PV monitoring, and fault detection into enterprise energy-management platforms.
• Set long-term BAS strategies, standards and roadmaps for automation and system integration.
• Provide senior technical leadership for BAS-related capital projects and retrofits.
• Act as subject matter expert for BAS, HVAC, system integration, solar PV and energy management.
• Coordinate budgets, procurement strategies and project financial control.
