Job summary

The Toronto Catholic District School Board is seeking a full-time BAS Technician for the Facilities Support Services Operations & Maintenance East/West teams in Toronto. You will inspect, troubleshoot and repair building automation controls, including BACnet/Modbus networks, and program HVAC control sequences.

Applicants should hold a relevant diploma and have at least five years of BAS/DDC experience, with strong knowledge of Niagara, Metasys, and related systems.

Qualifications

Must hold a community college diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technician (Industrial) or in Electronics/HVAC related field.
Minimum 5 years of practical experience with Building Automation and DDC systems.
Familiarity with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP and installation of controls hardware.

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electronic (DDC) building controls and BACnet systems.
Program building automation systems and repair HVAC controls.
On-site servicing for caretakers and ensure safe operation of tools and vehicle.
