Job description

Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. provides turnkey submetering and utility expense management services to property managers, building owners and developers across Canada. Wyse is unique in its ability to provide energy consumption transparency and accountability to its customers.

Reporting to Energy Analysis Lead, as an Energy Analyst at Wyse, you will support the growing energy analytics team by collecting and analyzing energy data, assisting in client reporting, and directly contributing to client energy and cost savings initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sustainability, energy management, and data analysis to gain experience and grow in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Energy Data Support: Assist in gathering and reviewing energy consumption data from metering systems. Help identify trends and unusual usage patterns.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for process improvement to increase efficiency. Work with other teams in the organization (IT, Business Development) to streamline work and automate repetitive/scalable tasks.
  • Reporting: Help prepare easy-to-understand reports and presentations on energy performance and cost savings for clients. Help clients with mandatory energy reporting initiatives, including EWRB and City of Toronto Energy & Water Reporting for Buildings.
  • Client Support: Work closely with the Client Success team to help answer questions about energy use and savings. Assist with client communications on energy topics.
  • Rate Switch Program: Help manage the Rate Switch program by supporting monthly reviews of energy rates and assisting clients in switching to lower-cost options.
  • Energy Savings Tracking: Assist with creating client-facing savings reports that track the impact of our services and programs.
  • Energy Bill Reviews: Support senior analysts in reviewing utility bills to help identify billing errors or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed on local energy market updates and regulations as they relate to client support and internal knowledge-sharing.
  • General Team Support: Contribute to ongoing projects, process improvements, and documentation as needed.

Required Education and Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Energy Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (recent grads welcome).
  • Utility management experience preferred.
  • Strong interest in energy analysis, sustainability, and utilities.
  • Proficiency with Excel and interested in learning other data tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, utility data portals).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat or other PDF editing software is an asset.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated to help save clients energy, money, and time.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
