Job summary

BayCare Health System in Canada is seeking an Endoscopy Technologist to join our team at St Josephs Main and Childrens. This full-time role offers 6:30a–3:00p shifts, with no weekend work and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include direct patient care in the endoscopy suite, patient admissions/discharges, and maintaining equipment and environment. BLS certification and a High School diploma are required, with a preference for 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care tasks in the endoscopy suite.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Orients patients and significant others to the unit.
• Maintains and cleans endoscopy equipment and supplies.
• Keeps patient areas clean and organized; disinfects equipment.
• Participates in on-call/weekend shifts.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Shows organizational and clerical skills.
