Job summary

Swissport Canada Inc. seeks an Environmental Coordinator to support EMS activities for a bulk fuel storage and aircraft fueling operations at Montreal (YUL) and Mirabel (YMX). The role reports to the Environmental Manager with guidance from fuel facilities managers.

You will lead EMS implementation, audits, and environmental reporting while ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements. Strong collaboration with operations and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of environmental compliance and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and familiarity with EMS.
• Working knowledge of Federal and Provincial environmental legislation.
• Familiarity with TDG regulations and handling of dangerous goods.
• Airport and fueling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support EMS development and implementation at Montreal (YUL) and Mirabel (YMX).
• Perform environmental audits to ensure EMS and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership and advice on EMS requirements to management and staff.
• Deliver presentations and training to ensure staff understand EMS roles and responsibilities.
• Provide environmental oversight to projects and operations.
• Report on environmental KPIs (incidents, spills, etc.).
• Ensure processes comply with ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 and support audits.
• Maintain documentation aligned with ISO standards and compliance.
• Assist in audits by preparing documentation and addressing corrective actions.
• Coordinate containment and cleanup of environmental spills when needed.
• Prepare and implement emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Assist QA/QC related to stormwater, hazardous waste handling and storage.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
