Job summary

e4c provides financial literacy coaching and administers the personal finances for vulnerable adults in Edmonton. This role supports individuals including those with substance use disorders, or residing in elder care facilities or supportive housing, who cannot manage their finances due to cognitive or physical challenges.

As Personal Financial Administrator, you will meet with clients in community or in office, manage a 60-80 client caseload, and collaborate with social workers, care home

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, social work, community service or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations in a coaching or life skills support role.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle; proof of vehicle insurance; registration and 3-year abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the personal finances of a caseload of 60-80 clients.
  • Receive income, and pay monthly expenses including accommodation, care charges, food, medical needs and personal items.
  • Provide financial literacy and coaching to help clients set goals, navigate financial crises, and access unclaimed benefits.
  • Meet with clients in community or in office regularly to conduct intakes and financial coaching.
  • Build trusting relationships with clients to understand their unique needs and goals.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of all transactions and documentation.
  • Collaborate with social workers, care home staff, and community partners.
