Douglas College is seeking an Employment Placement Specialist at the Coquitlam Campus to support clients in securing informational interviews, job shadowing, and work experiences while helping them prepare resumes and interview skills.
You will build relationships with employers, coordinate workshops, and assist participants with job search strategies, networking, and on-the-job skill development. Travel within the Lower Mainland is required; compliance checks are part of the role.
Position Information
Location Coquitlam Campus Salary Range $31.53 - $34.13 per hour. Salary placement on scale based on qualifications and experience relevant to position.
The Opportunity
The Employment Placement Specialist ( EPS ) performs a job development role by supporting clients to secure informational interviews with employers, job shadowing opportunities and work experiences. This position assists clients to create resumes and prepare for work interviews. The role helps clients develop job search skills and supports onboarding, training and ongoing job maintenance. The Employment Placement Specialist is also responsible for initiating, building and maintaining relationships with employers as well as source work experience placement for clients.
