Job summary

The Lethbridge School Division is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with varying needs. The role emphasizes implementing individualized programs, supporting Positive Behavior Support Plans, and helping with daily living and medical needs under teacher direction in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Training and/or experience with students with severe behaviour challenges is necessary.
• Understanding of neurodiversity including ASD, ODD, FASD, ADHD.
• Experience supporting OT/PT and/or Speech-Language needs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 with varying needs.
• Implement individualized programs and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
• Provide personal care, lifting, and mobility assistance as required.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to maximize student success.
• Engage in community activities and adapt strategies to student needs.
