Job summary

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students with diverse needs within a collaborative school setting. You will work with the school planning team to implement programs and materials developed by teachers and district leads, and assist with activities across groups and individuals.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant certificate or diploma preferred.
• Willing to assist with feeding, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and meet with the school planning team to implement programs and materials identified/developed by the teacher, specialized teams and District leads.
• Provide feedback to the supervisory Teacher on observations of students.
• Assist with large group activities and work with small groups or individual students.
