Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital (TVEH) is expanding our Emergency Team in Scarborough, Ontario, seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician. You will assess incoming patients, supervise anesthesia during emergency surgeries, and provide compassionate care across a wide range of cases.

The triage RVT role operates on a 4-on, 4-off schedule with day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. New grads are welcome; strong communication and teamwork are essential to deliver top-level

Qualifications

• Completion of a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program, with registration eligibility.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of patient care, anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused animal care.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess incoming patients and prioritize urgent needs.
• Safely monitor patients under anesthesia during emergency surgeries.
• Provide compassionate care for diverse cases.
• Assist specialists and monitor post-operative recovery.
• Collaborate with DVMs throughout patient journey.
• Work with a large team to deliver high-quality emergency veterinary medicine in the GTA.
