Job summary

Alberta Health Services invites applications for a Registered Nurse in the Strathcona Community Hospital Emergency Department. You will join a multidisciplinary team, delivering front-line care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within a fast-paced ED setting.

Experience in emergency nursing, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities are essential. Provisional permits receive stepwise pay progression as per UNA agreements.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Min. 2 years emergency nursing experience within the last two years.
  • Demonstrated excellent assessment, organization and patient care skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings concisely and accurately.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads.

  • Apply nursing processes through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
