Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a secondary school diploma with medical terminology; three months in a medical office; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; and proficiency

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduate with courses in Medical Terminology and Computers.
• 3 months of experience in a medical office environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and filing skills.
• Proficiency in keyboarding and current computer skills; ability to handle variable workloads.
• Knowledge in Expanse an asset.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
• Attention to privacy of personal health information.
• Team player with strong prioritization skills.
• French verbal/written skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Register all emergency and ambulatory care patients accurately and confidentially.
• Perform general clerical duties and act as unit clerk when needed.
• Provide relief for the switchboard operator.
• Contribute to health and safety policies to maintain a healthy environment.
