Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to join the Weyburn Ambulance service. You will respond to emergency and non-emergent calls, perform initial assessments, treatments and transport patients as needed.

Preference for HSAS members under the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement applies. This casual, permanent role is based in Weyburn with various shifts including days, nights, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• PCP diploma required.
• ITLS certificate required.
• Current EMT/PCP registration.
• Valid Class 4 driver's license.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergent calls and provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of patients.
• Work within the Ambulance - Land department under the Saskatchewan Health Authority and HSAS collective agreement.
• Ensure safety and professionalism in high-stress environments and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
