Job summary

St Josephs Hospital - SHA in Estevan is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic to respond to both emergent and non-emergent calls, provide on-scene assessment and transport patients as required by Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and protocols.

The position requires PCP diploma, ITLS, and a valid Class 4 license, with the opportunity to work days, nights, evenings, weekends, and standby shifts within a casual, permanent capacity.

Qualifications

• Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current ITLS certification is required.
• Registered or eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
• Valid Class 4 driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service and provides assessment, treatment and transportation per protocols.
• Works within a multi-disciplinary team in high-stress emergency situations.

Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, or their designate, the EMT/PCP, responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service; and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Saskatchewan College of Paramedics Clinical Practice Protocols and established policies and procedures. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
