Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. You will report to the Regional Director for Medicine and Critical Care, driving patient-centered care, operational strategy, and staff development across high-acuity services.

The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, with accountability for accreditation readiness and performance metrics.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with current registration.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and decision-making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide autonomous operational leadership to Emergency and ICU teams.
• Lead initiatives to improve patient flow, reduce length of stay, and enhance satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources and staffing plans.
• Foster a culture of safety, evidence-based practice and professional development.
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes and throughput.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive quality improvement initiatives, including accreditation readiness.
• Recruit, mentor and evaluate staff, promoting engagement.
