Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Rocky Mountain House is seeking a Manager – Acute Care/Emergency to lead the 31-bed Acute Care and 24-hour Emergency Department, ensuring quality patient and family centered care and alignment with the health system's vision.

You will recruit and develop staff, manage budgets and resources, foster safety and quality initiatives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree and/or relevant experience in rural health care.
• Minimum three (3) years nursing experience within the last five (5) years.
• Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience (e.g., Charge Nurse, Team Lead, Clinical Educator).
• Active practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or other licensing body.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Make unit-level decisions and provide direction for Acute Care and Emergency services.
• Recruit, develop and manage staff; oversee performance and budgets for the portfolio.
• Promote quality improvement and a culture of safety with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate staffing and clinical work as identified by Site Leader and Rural Lead.
