Job summary

Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) is seeking a Casual Registered Practical Nurse for the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) Emergency Program.

The role offers a salary scale of $36.91/hour to $39.02/hour with start date 2026-09-09. Two years of recent ED RPN experience is preferred, and applicants must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. MRHA supports inclusive employment and vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Registered Practical Nurse diploma.
• Proficient in venipuncture and IV initiation.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand, interpret and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively within the nursing and inter-professional team.
• Demonstrated computer competency.
• Two years of recent RPN experience in an Emergency Department (preferred).
• Experience with clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record (preferred).
• Membership in RPNAO and associations related to nursing specialty (preferred).
