Mississippi River Health Alliance in Carleton Place is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Unit at Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital. Begin on 2026-09-09.

Role centers on delivering quality nursing care and taking on designated responsibilities. Must hold a CNO certificate, ACLS and Coronary Care or willingness to obtain within six months; at least 1 year acute care experience.

Qualifications

  • Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • ACLS and Coronary Care Certificate or willingness to attain within six months.
  • Minimum of one year acute care experience in an active treatment setting.
  • Commitment to continuing education.
  • Knowledge of the Nursing Process and Standards of Nursing Practice (CNO).
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently at times without supervision.
  • Strong assessment, judgement, decision-making and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Unit.
  • Assume responsibilities as designated.
  • Collaborate with the health care team to ensure patient safety and care continuity.

Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for providing quality-nursingcare to patients on the Medical/Surgical Unit. The incumbent will assumeresponsibilities as designated.

Qualifications

  • Current A.C.L.S. and Coronary Care Certificateor willingness to attain at own expense within six (6) months.

  • Demonstrates good assessment, judgement,decision-making and documentation skills.
