We are hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer for Devices/IoT to expand our reach in industries like Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, Telco, and Consumer Electronics. Ideal candidates are Linux experts familiar with OS internals, containerization, and system debugging, with experience in low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development. This role offers a dynamic environment working with innovative clients and diverse projects.
Our Ubuntu server edition is common in connected devices and industrial PCs. The newer Ubuntu Core version emphasizes security and resilience for high-end appliances and equipment, serving clients in consumer electronics, automotive, and robotics. We are expanding our offerings with real-time Linux capabilities and working toward certifications, aiming for Linux solutions that prioritize reliability, security, developer productivity, and footprint.
The role requires strong Linux skills, coding and scripting proficiency, and experience in embedded Linux methodologies. Candidates should be proactive, results-driven, and able to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders. Willingness to travel up to 30% is required, and multilingual abilities are a plus for certain locations.
